We Have a Winner!

November 8, 2008

Before I announce the winner of my dear neighbor’s apron give away, take a minute to look with me at the lovely aprons that our winner will be choosing from. The always smiling Mrs. Joel Schopp graciously agreed to model and has added her own bit of authentic homemaker flair.  (Sarah is also a very talented seamstress.  She made our Halloween costumes.  That’s right, we wore costumes.)

All of these aprons are made from reclaimed fabric. Reclaiming material is one of Pat’s favorite hobbies. She told me that she prays over everything she puts her hands to when it comes to her clever crafts and that she feels a charge when she turns something discarded into something treasured.

Pat and I will be working this afternoon on her Etsy shop and she hopes to have it up by the end of next week at the latest.  I will keep you informed when it is up.  In the meantime, give Pat a big thank you for a great give away.  And also to Sarah for working that apron like a pro.

And now, I will pause from my mad typing to head over to the Random Number Generator and I will enter in the numbers 1 through 40.

Wow.  Look at that.  Just like that I have the winner.  Comment number 21!  You win!

I guess now I should go back to the comments and see who that was.  Care to join me?  I bet you are just as curious as I am .  I hope it isn’t one of my best girlfriends or a relative who winds up making it look like I didn’t use a Random Number Generator.  If it’s one of them, I think I’ll just run the numbers again.  They don’t have to know that I reran the numbers and we’ll all still be friends.  Yeah.  That’ll do nicely.

Comment number 21 is Terri R.!

This being an election year and us still being sensitive to voter fraud, I feel it only fair that you know that I know Terri.   Her daughter, Lauren, and I attended LCU together.  I would like to assure you that during the three years that Lauren and I enjoyed one anther’s acquaintance, we never in any way conspired to defraud the blogging community in an effort to earn her mother an apron.  In fact, we did not know what a blog was.  At least I didn’t know.  Maybe she knew, but I didn’t.

This was really fun.  I do enjoy a give away.  We should do this again.  Congratulations to Terri (Will and Claire’s Nana) and a very big THANK YOU to dear Pat for the great aprons!

Amy, I assure you I did not know what a blog was in college. In fact, I didn’t know what it meant three years ago! Thanks for doing the contest, and although I’m sad I didn’t enter myself, I’m glad my mom won! :)
