I think I was lead to this post today of all days by God. Today was the last day of summer for my kids and Monday I start working part-time! I'm so excited, but at the same time want to minister from my home. Thanks for providing these practical ways for doing this! Our home is a little more challenging, there's not alot of kids in our neighborhood. So we go to neighborhoods where there are kids. and hang out. make relationships. find the kids. thanks for sharing this (so long ago) it ministered to me today!

This is great! I want to be what I call 'The Kool Aid Mom' someday.

Still working on arranging the hubby (as in obtaining him). The house and my own children will hopefully come soon after... and then simmer for about 6 years before other kiddos find their way to my house!

I hope it's okay if I link to this entry from my blog.
Thanks!

Love, love it!

Then, when they are teens they'll want to hang out there, too. And you'll be glad. ; )

THis is great. If I were a kid, I'd want to hang out at your house. I'm a grown up and I kind of want to do that!

Thank you, Gibee.
It is almost silly how easy it is to let Jesus use our hands. All we have to do is be available. Not super pious, book smart, or perfect. Just available.
It's sad how something so easy as being available can become so difficult with all our schedules.

This is a great post. I will be referring to it possibly today. I've always wanted to be the center hub for my son's friends, because then I know he's in a safe environment, and I can reach out to his friends.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. It doesn't take much to be a little bit of Jesus to someone, does it?

I love your honesty; exhausting, messy, exhilrating. Great descriptors for getting to see Jesus at work.
