On Thursday, the kids and I went to Mom and Dad’s for the afternoon . Little Nathan, Nate, Nater Tot, Ol’ Nat Cole (first time Aunt here, just trying out possible nicknames for the little nephew), is spending the week with Mom and Dad so his pregnant Mama can get a little rest.
Nathan, at 16 months, is just now really mobile and able to somewhat keep up with his older cousins. I don’t have a lot of pictures, but here’s a sample of the day’s events. Let there be no doubt that young Nathan will fare just fine in a world where siblings roam.
“Hey! Hey, Cousin! I say, Cousin?!”
“Phew. It was almost like you couldn’t hear me. Almost like you were actually trying to get away.”
“…yes. That’s it. I’ll just hang out the side here.”
“No, wait. The inside is much nicer. You are too kind.”
“Really, too kind. Have you tried the key thingy? Listen. Did you hear that? It makes a funny sound. Both exactly and nothing at all like the real thing.”
“I’m sorry. Was I too forward? I hope I wasn’t too forward. I just like this car. This Cozy Coupe. It’s a classic, you know.”
“Your first mistake was under estimating the power of the under dog!”
I have forgotten completely to thank Karen for sending her old camera my way. She is responsible for my recent ability to post up to date pictures.

Too cute. You’re an EXCELLENT narrator.

It was a story that begged narration.

I concur with Alyson. The dialogue is priceless. Ian’s all- “all right dude. I’ll move” Wait. How do you spell dialog? Doesn’t it have a ue at the end? Why is google underlining it? Why does google underline its own word?
I gotta go take a nap.

I find it especially odd that Blogger doesn’t accept the word “blog”.
It’s a word. It is. I know it is.

I really have had fun with it. The kids are starting to think of me as their own personal papparazzo.
