I was up very late last night thinking of all the reasons I really don’t like Oprah Winfrey. Chief among all reasons is that she makes three quarters of a million dollars A DAY and she wants me to donate to the Angel Network. I simply can’t watch her without getting mad at her. She foisted on this world the likes of Phil McGraw and Rachel Raye. She is too big for her britches and I feel I must levy the charge.
If you have never commented here before, or even if you comment all the time, share with me your thoughts. If you also dare to stand with me and agree that she is a tart whose day has come, raise your hand and be counted. I am using Oprah to de-lurk because my experience is that most people have strong feelings one way or the other about her.
Step out of the shadows and tell me what you think. Oprah Winfrey: Friend of Foe?

I don’t have a strong opinion of her, but I’ll join in the delurking. I can’t remember for sure how I found your blog, but I enjoy it!
Thank you so much for de-lurking! It’s okay to not have a strong opinion about Oprah. In fact, I think you may have one up on me.
I.Love.Oprah.
That’s my confession.
I can love you through this, Susan. I know I can.
I think she is a large personality with many interesting ideas. I am glad she does many good things with her money, but I also think that she has much more to give. I appreciate that she uses her fame to promote worthwhile causes, but wonder how much more good she could do if she sold everything she had and became a “hands on” missionary in all these places she sees that need help. I bet those billions could feed a lot of hungry people … but instead of letting it get your goat, just pray for her. Matthew 19:21-24
My goat is secure. No worries there.
You have a goat?
Two. One for milkin’ and one for eatin’.
I probably despise all that she stands for even more than you do!!! There I’ve said it and I feel much better.
She is a wolf in sheep’s clothing lulling all her followers into her new age beliefs. She does good and she is the only one who gets the credit.
I refuse to watch her. In fact, my sister was a guest on her show. My mom, other sister, and nieces were all taken in a limo to sit in the audience. Not only did I refuse to go, I never watched it either.
When I take a stand, I really take a stand I tell ya!
Delurking – Sarah is our mutual friend.
I like Oprah ok but when I’m home at 4pm I will only watch if I find the subject interesting. Basically, once marriage, kid came and real life happened I find that I just can’t relate to Oprah; she has sooo much more money than I’ll ever have that it seems her world and mine will never connect. I also used to get her magazine and that’s what made me realize our relationship wasn’t going to work. I can’t look at the fashion stuff and understand paying $200 for basically a t-shirt.
I like Dr. Phil – cannot STAND Rachel Raye. I don’t see how RR made it – she is one of the most annoying people on TV. If anything, RR should be on that other annoying show, The View.
Way to be, Molly! You went a bold step further than I did calling her out! She IS indeed a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Thank you. You get a Cheeto.
Angela O., I saw the $200 basic white t-shirt. She should change the name of her “favorite things” show to “stuff you’ll never have, but I’ll let you get a whiff”.
I attempted to respond once, but apparently that didn’t work or you deleted my post (which if that is the case, then I guess you and I have OTHER issues…)NE way…
I think she does good work with the money she has however, she does it much too publically and with a lot of fan fare. I wish she weren’t that way. However, her money is a blessing to those who receive it so it hard for me to be really negative about her. I guess I am conflicted.
A Ginger divided cannot stand.
I think I heard that on Dr.Phil.
Did you know her real name is Orpah after a Bibilical character?
I did know that.
I figured it was just further proof that she only likes the Bible if she can put her own twist on it.
