Christmas 2007 with the Petersons South

December 27, 2007

Here are a few pictures of our Christmas. The Christmas festivities started for us when Sarah came over to help my Dad with Mom’s Christmas gift. Mom wanted a bathrobe that reached her ankles and Dad couldn’t find one anywhere, so he purchased two robes and Sarah made her a nice long robe and a shorty robe. Sarah has a great eye for things like that, so I knew it would turn out lovely.

On the evening of Christmas Eve, Kenzie Faye put out milk and crackers for Santa (we forgot to make cookies. Who forgets cookies?)and then she directed me in taking some other pictures of her performing Christmasy activities.

Christmas morning came and with it came Santa. The picture of the kids and “Santa” includes my paternal Grandpa, who I suspect was the Santa of my youth though he denies it with a mad passion.

The kids really enjoyed seeing Granny and Gramps (great grandparents).

Susan gave Ian play dough and they both really enjoyed making worms before bed with it.

Uncle David called shortly before bedtime and Kenzie graced him with her attention, while Ian was overcome with a Christmas hangover and had to pass.

Gifts were opened, joy was shared, and we all congratulated ourselves for making it through yet another holiday.

*One more thing, the kids went to bed, and then Chris and Ruth Ann came by to give me that awesome t-shirt I wore in my previous post and to Eric they gave a cheese-head.
