Mackenzie just came to me and told me all about a dream she had about going to Disney World. She went on for a good while about how desperately she wants to go there some day.
My fondest fantasy locale is Heaven and I told her as much. I told her that she will likely see Disney World someday, but that she should never forget that Heaven is going to be way cooler than that.
“Oh. I still want to go to Disney World, though,” she says.
“And I want to go to Wisconsin,” chimes in Ian.
Everybody has a dream.

While i do belieiv Heaven is the ultimate dream vacation spot, I think Disney World is pretty awesome too.
Man, I even read it before I hit publish, and I still had mis-spellings and lower cased “I’s”
Sorry- but you know this about me already.
I, too, dream of going to Wisconsin–luckily my dream shall come true this Friday.
I’d rather not vacation in heaven though….better to go there once and just stay for eternity.
That was awesome. Heaven is the best place to dream of, but while we’re here on earth, I think I want to visit Ireland. Wisconsin sounds like a lot of cheese, and I have been to both Disney parks.
Amy, if you’re in Wisconsin, then it would be a dream vacation for me.
My dream vacation was Italy and Venice, and I was lucky enough to get to go! Kinda hard to top that trip =)
I found your blog again! It was fun to talk to you about it in church the other day. You have to have the funniest, sweetest kids around. Keep telling funny stories – they seriously crack me up!
My dream vacation is for Ian – and Mackenzie – and you and Eric – to COME to Wisconsin! Love you all! Grandma Dianne
Although I agree with you that heaven is best; You have to wonder why you wouldn’t want to vacation in the state known for cheese?
I am commenting on the whole blog, not just this post. I came across your blog about 6 months ago from Courtney’s. She hadn’t posted in a while, and I was keeping myself busy while my husband was deployed. Thinking “Amy” might mean Amy Marcus, I clicked the link and started reading. I was hooked by the funny stories, encouragement to other moms and praise to God. I have visited a few times since and read your call out to “lurkers,” so here I am. I enjoy the encouragement and funny kids stories.
I loved this one, Amy!
I think you might just need to write a book:).
We finally updated our links on our web site to include you!
